Visit to the Pumpkin Patch

October 25, 2017

I don't know about your family, but this Fall has been extremely busy for us. Between family, school, work, church, and the other activities we're juggling for our growing family, we sometimes feel like life is just flying by.

While we always look forward to our annual trip to the pumpkin patch, with everything else going on, we were not looking forward to the huge crowds and busyness at some of the larger farms in the area. We found a welcome retreat at B&C  Farms, a small local family farm in Marysville, Indiana, not far from Charlestown.

Owners Ben and Casey offer a warm, friendly, personalized experience with a call-ahead tractor ride over to the pumpkin patch and gorgeous, reasonably-priced pumpkins.

It was a picturesque autumn day; we called ahead to request an appointment and Casey and Ben were
very accommodating.  Ben was waiting for us when we arrived and we got a private tractor ride over to the pumpkin patch.

Along the way, we got to relax and enjoy the beautiful farm scenery.

We arrived at the pumpkin patch and had a fantastic time picking our pumpkins!

Once we got home, our boys were eager to proudly place their pumpkins on our front porch.

The boys had a lot of fun cleaning the pumpkins and getting them ready for decorating!

We had a fantastic time at B&C Farms and highly recommend them if you're looking for a quiet, family-centered experience at a small local farm. Halloween is next week, but there are still openings over at the B&C Farms pumpkin patch! Head over to their Facebook page or give them a call at (317) 919-7816 to get in touch with them!
